Two of the world’s most popular sports have found an unlikely home deep in the heart of Texas.
In Waller County 40 miles northwest of Houston off Highway 290, Houston businessman Tanweer Ahmed is building the largest cricket complex in the country, 10 fields spread out over 90 acres. This week, Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner also was on hand for the groundbreaking of a 4,000-seat rugby stadium just south of downtown.
